Working in the open pit mines is a very demanding job with long shifts out in the open through all weather conditions. But working in the open pit mines is a very rewarding job where in some cases, you can be paid up to $100,000 a year for operating heavy machinery. In most remote locations, mine companies will pay you well to compensate for being located so far away from any cities or towns. In most cases, the mine company will initially set up a small town that will include all of the amenities that you require such as food, accommodation, beverages, social activities, and other activities to keep you entertained when you are not working.
