Thursday 11 March 2010 - The accommodation here is sweet, my rooms about 6m by 8m and has all the essentials I need, beer fridge, tv and a bed, ahh just like being at home. I'm only a couple of doors down from the tv/pool room which is great cause we have had quite a pool competition going on, I've been playing doubles with my supervisor against a couple of kiwis, but I won't hold that against them, its there shocking pool playing I hold against them. The mess hall is great, it reminds me of going on school camp and have everything cooked and served to you, except here the food tastes good, the juice isnt watered down and you aint forced to do dishes afterwards.

Tuesday 9 March 2010 - I ran into an old school friend at lunch today hes running the kitchen down here which took me by suprise (he was always the one at school that just seemed to lack any direction who eagerness to do anything, seems to be doing ok for himself now though), me and him are planning on doing a Fishing / Drinking trip up north sometime, could also be a great time to try out that Longboard I got for my birthday, hasnt had much use round here the closest thing to a wave round here is the mullock heaps that were left behind by the opal miners.

Sunday 7 March 2010 - Its getting hotter and hotter here, man am I glad these trucks have enough air conditioning to cool a lava flow, one of the guys aircondition packed up on him and which left him sweating in his cab for the day, he came out looking like he had just piggybacked Rosie O'Donnel through the New York marathon. The boss has been out and about again yabbering about safety, I guess he's just covering his ass incase something goes wrong cause he's the dodgiest prick out here.
